Plot line: Exposition and Rising Action
**There are two plot lines in Holes. Create a plot line for both the past and the present of the novel and add information about the exposition and rising action of each.
Exposition: Introduces the characters, setting, and the problem
Rising Action: The conflict becomes more complicated through a series of events which lead to the Climax.
Read 21-28
In groups, you will work together to illustrate Camp Green Lake in either the past or the present.
Include the following elements in your presentation:
Past- Mary Lou, onion juice, peaches, boat, Sam, the lake, etc
Present- The Warden, campers, yellow-spotted lizards, holes, etc
Young Kids, Hard Time: Part 3
After watching part 3 of the documentary, write a well-developed paragraph discussing:
* What challenges to young offenders face when they are moved to an adult prison?
* Why do some of the youth call prison "home"?
* Do the prisoners deserve support services to help them face their problems and be able to move on? Explain
* What help do you think they need? Why?
